We’re delighted to announce Devon and Cornwall’s first Backyard Ultra in aid of Bowel Cancer West.
This new form of endurance running has been taking the running world by storm, and we’re sure runners of the South West will be equally intrigued by the challenge.
In short, a backyard ultra is a last runner standing competition. Runners complete a 4.167 lap of a circuit every hour on the hour until only one competitor remains – the winner!
We’ve also created four alternative distance races, so runners of all abilities can get a flavour for the unique format. On the Saturday afternoon we’ll host a Family Fun Run too so we can introduce the whole family to the joys of running.
